Containment on a cement floor. SERVPRO of San Diego East knows how to handle water and flood damage!

Did you know that concrete floors are susceptible to water damage as well?

Concrete can be damaged by fire, water, bacterial corrosion, calcium leaching, physical damage and chemical damage, in turn concrete loses it strength and begins to crack.

This customer called us right in time after a huge water loss and our team was able to save the concrete slab by creating a tent over the moist concrete, the technicians first measured out and cut 3 separate plastic pieces and then secured it to the floor with tape.

They then ran a dehumidifier into the tent, this helped with the concrete's drying process.

After 2 days the slab was dry and no cracking occurred to the concrete!

Remember to call SERVPRO of San Diego East if you ever have any type of water loss!
