Water Damage Repair and Restoration: Water Removal / Water Extraction
There are six steps that SERVPRO of San Diego East takes in order to restore water damage loss. Today we are going to be focusing on the third step.
The third step of water damage restoration is water removal or water extraction. This step is known as removing the majority of water from your home or property. SERVPRO of San Diego East uses powerful pumps and truck-mount vacuum units to rapidly pull out hundreds to thousands of gallons or water.
If your home requires extensive restoration a move-out or pack-out is done in order to further prevent damage. This is not required for every job only necessary for some.
The water removal process occurs immediately. Removing the water from your property or home is important because this will decrease the drying time.
The next step to water extraction is inspecting the carpet and pad. This inspection is done in order to determine whether your home or property sub-flooring needs protection.
